Client reporting takes minutes now

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

A free tier good enough to run a small business on. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Forms that turn intake requests into structured, owned tasks. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. A free tier good enough to run a small business on. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Visibility across twelve projects, finally

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

Works, but the seat bands hurt at our size

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. A free tier good enough to run a small business on. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

A free tier good enough to run a small business on. The views are flexible.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. There is no native time tracking.

Boards multiplied until nobody trusted them

Performance on our office connection made it a chore. For context, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. Test it hard during the trial with real volume before committing.

What works

It looks good.

What does not

We paid for a tier we could not make use of. It was too slow on our connection. Half the team never adopted it.
