Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

A free tier good enough to run a small business on. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Used for less than 6 months

Great tool, we built it badly at first

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Forms that turn intake requests into structured, owned tasks. The views are flexible.

What does not

Performance degrades on a large workspace. There is no native time tracking.

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Forms that turn intake requests into structured, owned tasks. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

A free tier good enough to run a small business on. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Client reporting takes minutes now

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

A free tier good enough to run a small business on. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

Simple enough that people actually use it

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Client facing views mean fewer status emails.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. A free tier good enough to run a small business on. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. Setup was quick.

What does not

Dollar pricing makes the budget unpredictable. Performance degrades on a large workspace.

Thank you for this. We recognise the pricing concern and would like to review your plan with you, as there may be a better fit for your usage. Our team will be in touch.
