Managers use it without being chased

The employee file being in one place made our last inspection straightforward. Flexible enough leave rules to model BCEA correctly. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

A workflow builder that removes routine approval admin. Leave requests and approvals happen on the phone without training. Document storage with e signature removed a printing step entirely.

What does not

Recruitment is a separate module at a separate price.

The configuration took longer than promised, and it works well now. Custom reporting an HR manager can drive unaided. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

Flexible enough leave rules to model BCEA correctly. The employee record is well organised.

What does not

There is no local payroll integration. BCEA leave had to be configured rather than selected.

Leave accruals were wrong from day one

The leave rules never matched the BCEA properly and we gave up correcting them. The thing worth knowing is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

The employee database itself is fine.

What does not

The interface is dated and slow. Leave rules never matched South African requirements. Support hours do not overlap with our working day.
