Solid core, disappointing reporting

It has reduced admin, just not as much as the demo suggested. Data protection controls built for GDPR, which POPIA closely follows. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

Document and approval workflows with a full audit trail. Managers found it easy enough to use.

What does not

BCEA leave had to be configured rather than selected. The mobile experience is weaker than the desktop.

Managers use it without being chased

We had leave in a shared spreadsheet for six years. This was overdue. Strong multi entity handling for groups. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

Document and approval workflows with a full audit trail. Leave requests and approvals happen on the phone without training. The employee file holds everything in one place with proper permissions.

What does not

Onboarding admin dropped by half

Managers approve leave from their phones now, which was the whole point. Strong multi entity handling for groups. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Granular permissions that properly restrict special personal information. The employee file holds everything in one place with proper permissions. Reporting on headcount and turnover is available without asking IT.
