Managers use it without being chased

Managers approve leave from their phones now, which was the whole point. Strong multi entity handling for groups. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Granular permissions that properly restrict special personal information. Leave requests and approvals happen on the phone without training. Document storage with e signature removed a printing step entirely.

What does not

Recruitment is a separate module at a separate price.

Leave accruals were wrong from day one

It was clearly built for a different labour market. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

Document storage works.

What does not

Leave rules never matched South African requirements. The interface is dated and slow. Support hours do not overlap with our working day.

Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

Adoption took longer than the vendor suggested

The configuration took longer than promised, and it works well now. Strong multi entity handling for groups. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

Performance management is basic. The mobile experience is weaker than the desktop.
