Go live was on time and under budget

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. The largest ERP implementation partner base in South Africa. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Manufacturing and bill of materials without moving up a tier. Stock on hand matches the physical count for the first time in years. Consolidation across our companies takes days rather than weeks.

What does not

Implementation cost more than the licence, as expected but still painful.

The partner made the difference, not the software

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. Manufacturing and bill of materials without moving up a tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

Manufacturing and bill of materials without moving up a tier. Landed cost calculations are accurate including duty and clearing. Consolidation across our companies takes days rather than weeks.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

Works well, costs more than we planned

It does everything we asked for and none of it was quick. The largest ERP implementation partner base in South Africa. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Local statutory reporting maintained by the vendor. The financials module is solid.

What does not

The local statutory reporting depends entirely on the partner. Reporting requires a specialist to build.

The localisation was never properly finished

Under scoped implementation, and we discovered it after go live. For context, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. It may suit a simpler business than ours.

What works

It is stable once running.

What does not

Localisation was incomplete at go live. The implementation ran badly over time and budget. We are still running parallel spreadsheets.
