Solid, boring, and that is exactly what I wanted

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. Thirty years of trained South African operators. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Thirty years of trained South African operators. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Works well once you accept its limits

Good enough that changing again is not worth the disruption. Thirty years of trained South African operators. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

Multi warehouse inventory with serial, lot and bill of materials. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

Getting a person on the phone is difficult. Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses.

Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. Works through load shedding and connection loss. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

Competent but the support tests your patience

We chose this on price and mostly that decision has held up. A report writer that will produce almost any layout. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Thirty years of trained South African operators. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

The report customisation is limited. Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses.
