Migration was painful, the result was worth it

Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. Thirty years of trained South African operators. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Works through load shedding and connection loss. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

Finally a ledger our accountant does not complain about

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. Multi warehouse inventory with serial, lot and bill of materials. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Thirty years of trained South African operators. Month end close has dropped from six days to two. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost.

What does not

Support response times slow noticeably at month end.

Right features, wrong price for our size

It does what we need and I have no strong feelings about it either way. Thirty years of trained South African operators. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Works through load shedding and connection loss. Pricing is predictable with no surprise increases.

What does not

Bank feeds drop and need reauthorising more often than they should. Getting a person on the phone is difficult.

Does the job, will not delight you

We chose this on price and mostly that decision has held up. Works through load shedding and connection loss. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand. The report customisation is limited.
