Does the compliance work without being asked

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. Thirty years of trained South African operators. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Multi warehouse inventory with serial, lot and bill of materials. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised. Month end close has dropped from six days to two.

What does not

Support response times slow noticeably at month end.

Solid, boring, and that is exactly what I wanted

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. Thirty years of trained South African operators. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Multi warehouse inventory with serial, lot and bill of materials. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised. Multi currency handling is genuinely correct on unrealised gains.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Works well once you accept its limits

Good enough that changing again is not worth the disruption. Works through load shedding and connection loss. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

A report writer that will produce almost any layout. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses. There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand.

The bank feed problems never got fixed

We committed to this on a recommendation and I regret not testing it properly first. For context, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

The invoicing side works.

What does not

The VAT handling required constant manual correction. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks. Migration lost historical detail we needed for the audit.

There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.
