Support took eleven days to answer a VAT query

We committed to this on a recommendation and I regret not testing it properly first. For context, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

The invoicing side works.

What does not

Migration lost historical detail we needed for the audit. Support responses were slow and generic. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks.

Migration was painful, the result was worth it

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. Strong audit and controls posture. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Close cycles measured in days rather than weeks. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. Multi currency handling is genuinely correct on unrealised gains.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Dimensional accounting instead of an unmanageable account code. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Close cycles measured in days rather than weeks. Multi currency handling is genuinely correct on unrealised gains. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

Genuine multi entity consolidation with inter company eliminations. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Bank feeds alone justify the subscription
