Migration was painful, the result was worth it

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. Close cycles measured in days rather than weeks. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Genuine multi entity consolidation with inter company eliminations. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

Works well once you accept its limits

We chose this on price and mostly that decision has held up. Genuine multi entity consolidation with inter company eliminations. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Genuine multi entity consolidation with inter company eliminations. Pricing is predictable with no surprise increases.

What does not

Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses. There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand.

Does the compliance work without being asked

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Dimensional accounting instead of an unmanageable account code. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Strong audit and controls posture. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work.

Our bookkeeper got two days a month back

Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. Strong audit and controls posture. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Genuine multi entity consolidation with inter company eliminations. Month end close has dropped from six days to two. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost.

What does not

Inventory is too basic for a stock heavy business.

Works well once you accept its limits

It does what we need and I have no strong feelings about it either way. Dimensional accounting instead of an unmanageable account code. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

Close cycles measured in days rather than weeks. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

The report customisation is limited. Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses.

Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Genuine multi entity consolidation with inter company eliminations. The core ledger is reliable.

What does not

The report customisation is limited. Bank feeds drop and need reauthorising more often than they should.

VAT season stopped being a crisis

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Genuine multi entity consolidation with inter company eliminations. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Close cycles measured in days rather than weeks. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly. Month end close has dropped from six days to two.

Does the compliance work without being asked

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. Close cycles measured in days rather than weeks. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work.
