Cheaper than the alternatives, and you find out why

I have spent more time working around this than working in it. The honest position is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. It has cost us more time than it has saved. It may suit a simpler business than ours.

What works

The invoicing side works.

What does not

Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks. Support responses were slow and generic. The VAT handling required constant manual correction.

Bank feeds alone justify the subscription

Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. No user limit, ever. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

No user limit, ever. Month end close has dropped from six days to two. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. A genuine double entry ledger at no cost. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

Works well once you accept its limits

It has been fine, with a couple of persistent irritations. No user limit, ever. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Unlimited invoices on the free plan. The core ledger is reliable.

What does not

There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand. The report customisation is limited.
