Reconciliation went from a week to an afternoon

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. A genuine double entry ledger at no cost. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Unlimited invoices on the free plan. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Fine for us, would not recommend for stock heavy businesses

We chose this on price and mostly that decision has held up. Unlimited invoices on the free plan. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Clean, uncluttered interface. Invoicing is quick once the templates are set.

What does not

Getting a person on the phone is difficult. The report customisation is limited.

Migrated away after fourteen months

The trial went well. Live use with real volume did not. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. It may suit a simpler business than ours.

The invoicing side works.

What does not

The VAT handling required constant manual correction. Support responses were slow and generic. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks.

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.
