The partner made the difference, not the software

We run four warehouses and two companies on this and the consolidation works. Comprehensive REST API for businesses that intend to integrate. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Cloud native with a browser interface that was designed this decade. Traceability from raw material to finished goods is complete. Multi warehouse transfers are visible and auditable.

What does not

Implementation cost more than the licence, as expected but still painful.

Works well, costs more than we planned

The software is capable. Our implementation was mediocre and we are still paying for that. Comprehensive REST API for businesses that intend to integrate. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What does not

Remote access needs a hosted desktop. Reporting requires a specialist to build.

What works

Unlimited users, priced on resources instead of seats. Branch reporting comes out without a spreadsheet in between. Consolidation across our companies takes days rather than weeks.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

We are still reconciling stock by hand

The local statutory reporting was never delivered as promised. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. It may suit a simpler business than ours.

What works

The core accounting works.

What does not

Renewal pricing increased well beyond inflation. The implementation ran badly over time and budget. We are still running parallel spreadsheets.
