Simple enough that people actually use it

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams. Client facing views mean fewer status emails.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Great tool, we built it badly at first

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

A free tier good enough to run a small business on. Setup was quick.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. There is no native time tracking.

Visibility across twelve projects, finally

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. A free tier good enough to run a small business on. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Forms that turn intake requests into structured, owned tasks. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Simple enough that people actually use it

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. A free tier good enough to run a small business on. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

Works, but the seat bands hurt at our size

Good tool. The pricing bands do not suit a team of our size. One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate. Client facing views mean fewer status emails.

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.
