Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. A free tier good enough to run a small business on. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Forms that turn intake requests into structured, owned tasks. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Boards multiplied until nobody trusted them

It became a graveyard of half finished boards nobody trusted. Where it earns its keep is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. Test it hard during the trial with real volume before committing.

What works

The free tier is generous.

What does not

It was too slow on our connection. We paid for a tier we could not make use of. Half the team never adopted it.

Simple enough that people actually use it

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. Portfolios and goals that give directors a truthful in flight picture. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

A free tier good enough to run a small business on. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Visibility across twelve projects, finally

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Forms that turn intake requests into structured, owned tasks. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

Client reporting takes minutes now

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. One owner per task, which removes the most common cause of dropped work. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.
