Stock and the ledger finally agree

We run four warehouses and two companies on this and the consolidation works. Local statutory reporting maintained by the vendor. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Local statutory reporting maintained by the vendor. Traceability from raw material to finished goods is complete. Branch reporting comes out without a spreadsheet in between.

What does not

Implementation cost more than the licence, as expected but still painful.

Powerful, and it demands a specialist

Good system, and you must budget for the support relationship indefinitely. Strong multi warehouse and multi branch handling. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Strong multi warehouse and multi branch handling. Reporting is capable once configured.

What does not

Remote access needs a hosted desktop. Version upgrades are projects rather than updates.

The partner made the difference, not the software

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. Manufacturing and bill of materials without moving up a tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Local statutory reporting maintained by the vendor. Multi warehouse transfers are visible and auditable. Stock on hand matches the physical count for the first time in years.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

Implementation ran eleven months over

The local statutory reporting was never delivered as promised. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. It may suit a simpler business than ours.

What works

It is stable once running.

What does not

We are still running parallel spreadsheets. The implementation ran badly over time and budget. Localisation was incomplete at go live.

Landed cost is finally accurate

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. Manufacturing and bill of materials without moving up a tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

We are still reconciling stock by hand

Under scoped implementation, and we discovered it after go live. The thing worth knowing is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. Test it hard during the trial with real volume before committing.

What works

The core accounting works.

What does not

We are still running parallel spreadsheets. Renewal pricing increased well beyond inflation. The implementation ran badly over time and budget.

What works

Manufacturing and bill of materials without moving up a tier. Consolidation across our companies takes days rather than weeks. Landed cost calculations are accurate including duty and clearing.

What does not

The interface is dense and training is a real line item.
