The partner made the difference, not the software

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. Manufacturing and bill of materials without moving up a tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Local statutory reporting maintained by the vendor. Traceability from raw material to finished goods is complete. Landed cost calculations are accurate including duty and clearing.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

Landed cost is finally accurate

We run four warehouses and two companies on this and the consolidation works. Strong multi warehouse and multi branch handling. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Local statutory reporting maintained by the vendor. Landed cost calculations are accurate including duty and clearing. Multi warehouse transfers are visible and auditable.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

Go live was on time and under budget

Two years post go live and I would make the same decision. Manufacturing and bill of materials without moving up a tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Local statutory reporting maintained by the vendor. Traceability from raw material to finished goods is complete. Landed cost calculations are accurate including duty and clearing.

What does not

Implementation cost more than the licence, as expected but still painful.

Two years in and we still use half of it

Good system, and you must budget for the support relationship indefinitely. Local statutory reporting maintained by the vendor. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

The largest ERP implementation partner base in South Africa. The financials module is solid.

What does not

Version upgrades are projects rather than updates. The local statutory reporting depends entirely on the partner.

Good core, dated interface

It does everything we asked for and none of it was quick. Strong multi warehouse and multi branch handling. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

The largest ERP implementation partner base in South Africa. The financials module is solid.

What does not

Reporting requires a specialist to build. Version upgrades are projects rather than updates.
