Works well once you accept its limits

Good enough that changing again is not worth the disruption. Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand. Getting a person on the phone is difficult.

VAT season stopped being a crisis

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. Free accountant login on every plan. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

We chose this on price and mostly that decision has held up. The deepest pool of trained local bookkeepers in the country. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. The deepest pool of trained local bookkeepers in the country. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

The bank feed problems never got fixed

We committed to this on a recommendation and I regret not testing it properly first. The thing worth knowing is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. It may suit a simpler business than ours.

The invoicing side works.

What does not

Migration lost historical detail we needed for the audit. Support responses were slow and generic. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks.
