Reconciliation went from a week to an afternoon

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. VAT201 output that transfers cleanly to SARS eFiling. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly. Month end close has dropped from six days to two.

What does not

Inventory is too basic for a stock heavy business.

Support took eleven days to answer a VAT query

I have spent more time working around this than working in it. Where it earns its keep is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

Setup was quick.

What does not

Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks. Support responses were slow and generic. The VAT handling required constant manual correction.

Does the job, will not delight you

It has been fine, with a couple of persistent irritations. Free accountant login on every plan. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

VAT201 output that transfers cleanly to SARS eFiling. Invoicing is quick once the templates are set.

What does not

Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses. Getting a person on the phone is difficult.
