Client reporting takes minutes now

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Simple enough that people actually use it

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate. Client facing views mean fewer status emails.

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

Good value, occasional performance problems

Good tool. The pricing bands do not suit a team of our size. Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. Task management is reliable.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. Dollar pricing makes the budget unpredictable.

What does not

Dollar pricing makes the budget unpredictable. There is no native time tracking.
