Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. A genuine double entry ledger at no cost. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Clean, uncluttered interface. Month end close has dropped from six days to two. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work.

What does not

Support response times slow noticeably at month end.

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Unlimited invoices on the free plan. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Unlimited invoices on the free plan. Multi currency handling is genuinely correct on unrealised gains. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Not built for a South African VAT vendor

The trial went well. Live use with real volume did not. The thing worth knowing is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

We chose this on price and mostly that decision has held up. No user limit, ever. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

Clean, uncluttered interface. The core ledger is reliable.

What does not

Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses. Getting a person on the phone is difficult.

The bank feed problems never got fixed

I have spent more time working around this than working in it. Where it earns its keep is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.
