Right features, wrong price for our size

It does what we need and I have no strong feelings about it either way. A genuine double entry ledger at no cost. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Unlimited invoices on the free plan. Invoicing is quick once the templates are set.

What does not

There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand. Getting a person on the phone is difficult.

Solid, boring, and that is exactly what I wanted

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. No user limit, ever. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Finally a ledger our accountant does not complain about

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Unlimited invoices on the free plan. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

A genuine double entry ledger at no cost. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised. Month end close has dropped from six days to two.

What does not

Inventory is too basic for a stock heavy business.
