Does the compliance work without being asked

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. Built in client portal at no extra cost. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Built in client portal at no extra cost. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Right features, wrong price for our size

It has been fine, with a couple of persistent irritations. A workflow engine competitors do not offer at any tier. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What does not

Getting a person on the phone is difficult. There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand.

Bank feeds alone justify the subscription

Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. A workflow engine competitors do not offer at any tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

Solid, boring, and that is exactly what I wanted
