Too slow on our connection to be usable

Performance on our office connection made it a chore. In practice, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

It looks good.

What does not

We paid for a tier we could not make use of. Half the team never adopted it. It was too slow on our connection.

Visibility across twelve projects, finally

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Dashboards that aggregate across many boards for real visibility. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Unlimited free viewers, so stakeholders cost nothing. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Unlimited free viewers, so stakeholders cost nothing. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Dashboards that aggregate across many boards for real visibility. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Client reporting takes minutes now

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Automation that needs no code and genuinely removes admin. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

Fine for tasks, weak for resourcing

Good tool. The pricing bands do not suit a team of our size. Dashboards that aggregate across many boards for real visibility. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Automation that needs no code and genuinely removes admin. Setup was quick.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. Performance degrades on a large workspace.
