Good value, occasional performance problems

Half the team lives in it and half still work from email. Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. Task management is reliable.

What does not

Performance degrades on a large workspace. The learning curve for the advanced features is real.

Client reporting takes minutes now

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Automation that needs no code and genuinely removes admin. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Unlimited free viewers, so stakeholders cost nothing. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. Unlimited free viewers, so stakeholders cost nothing. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Automation that needs no code and genuinely removes admin. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Simple enough that people actually use it

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Dashboards that aggregate across many boards for real visibility. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Fine for tasks, weak for resourcing

Half the team lives in it and half still work from email. Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Unlimited free viewers, so stakeholders cost nothing. Task management is reliable.

What does not

Performance degrades on a large workspace. There is no native time tracking.

Great tool, we built it badly at first

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Unlimited free viewers, so stakeholders cost nothing. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Unlimited free viewers, so stakeholders cost nothing. The views are flexible.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. Dollar pricing makes the budget unpredictable.

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. Non technical managers build working processes in an afternoon. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Dashboards that aggregate across many boards for real visibility. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Unlimited free viewers, so stakeholders cost nothing. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.
