Two years post go live and I would make the same decision. A free community edition for businesses that can self host. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

A free community edition for businesses that can self host. Consolidation across our companies takes days rather than weeks. Branch reporting comes out without a spreadsheet in between.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

Renewal came in forty percent higher

Under scoped implementation, and we discovered it after go live. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

What works

It is stable once running.

What does not

Renewal pricing increased well beyond inflation. The implementation ran badly over time and budget. Localisation was incomplete at go live.

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. A free community edition for businesses that can self host. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Implementation cost more than the licence, as expected but still painful.

Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

Two years in and we still use half of it

The software is capable. Our implementation was mediocre and we are still paying for that. One licence covering every application rather than module by module pricing. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Manufacturing depth well beyond its price point. Reporting is capable once configured.

What does not

The local statutory reporting depends entirely on the partner. Remote access needs a hosted desktop.
