Solid, boring, and that is exactly what I wanted

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

VAT201 output that transfers cleanly to SARS eFiling. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Free accountant login on every plan. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost. Multi currency handling is genuinely correct on unrealised gains.

What does not

Support response times slow noticeably at month end.

Good ledger, disappointing reporting

Good enough that changing again is not worth the disruption. Free accountant login on every plan. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

VAT201 output that transfers cleanly to SARS eFiling. Pricing is predictable with no surprise increases.

What does not

The report customisation is limited. Bank feeds drop and need reauthorising more often than they should.
