Does the compliance work without being asked

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

VAT201 output that transfers cleanly to SARS eFiling. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work.

What does not

Inventory is too basic for a stock heavy business.

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Free accountant login on every plan. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

VAT201 output that transfers cleanly to SARS eFiling. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper.

What does not

Support response times slow noticeably at month end.

The bank feed problems never got fixed

I have spent more time working around this than working in it. In practice, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

What works

The invoicing side works.

What does not

Migration lost historical detail we needed for the audit. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks. The VAT handling required constant manual correction.
