Reconciliation went from a week to an afternoon

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. The deepest pool of trained local bookkeepers in the country. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

VAT201 output that transfers cleanly to SARS eFiling. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

Right features, wrong price for our size

Good enough that changing again is not worth the disruption. The deepest pool of trained local bookkeepers in the country. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Direct bank feeds for Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. The core ledger is reliable.

What does not

The report customisation is limited. There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand.

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. Free accountant login on every plan. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses. Getting a person on the phone is difficult.
