The employee file being in one place made our last inspection straightforward. Genuinely easy for line managers to use without training. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

We went back to spreadsheets after nine months

The leave rules never matched the BCEA properly and we gave up correcting them. The honest position is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

Support hours do not overlap with our working day. The interface is dated and slow. Leave rules never matched South African requirements.

Good for leave, thin everywhere else

It has reduced admin, just not as much as the demo suggested. Clean mobile app for leave requests and approvals. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What does not

BCEA leave had to be configured rather than selected. Performance management is basic.
