Adoption took longer than the vendor suggested

It has reduced admin, just not as much as the demo suggested. Leave accrual that follows BCEA rather than a US default. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What does not

Performance management is basic. There is no local payroll integration.

Fine platform, priced above what we use

We had leave in a shared spreadsheet for six years. This was overdue. Modular pricing, so you pay only for what you switch on. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

Managers approve leave from their phones now, which was the whole point. Modular pricing, so you pay only for what you switch on. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

Leave accruals were wrong from day one

The leave rules never matched the BCEA properly and we gave up correcting them. For context, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. Test it hard during the trial with real volume before committing.
