Stock and the ledger finally agree

Two years post go live and I would make the same decision. Rigorous data model that resists bad practice. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Global partner network for multi country groups. Multi warehouse transfers are visible and auditable. Branch reporting comes out without a spreadsheet in between.

What does not

The interface is dense and training is a real line item.

The partner made the difference, not the software

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. Fast analytics on large datasets through the HANA edition. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

What does not

Implementation cost more than the licence, as expected but still painful.

Right system, wrong implementation partner

The software is capable. Our implementation was mediocre and we are still paying for that. Global partner network for multi country groups. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What does not

Remote access needs a hosted desktop. The local statutory reporting depends entirely on the partner.

Renewal came in forty percent higher

Under scoped implementation, and we discovered it after go live. For context, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

It is stable once running.

What does not

The implementation ran badly over time and budget. Localisation was incomplete at go live. We are still running parallel spreadsheets.
