Two years in and we still use half of it

The software is capable. Our implementation was mediocre and we are still paying for that. Financial controls and audit trail that satisfy group finance. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

Fast analytics on large datasets through the HANA edition. The partner network means help is available.

What does not

Version upgrades are projects rather than updates. The local statutory reporting depends entirely on the partner.

Stock and the ledger finally agree

We run four warehouses and two companies on this and the consolidation works. Fast analytics on large datasets through the HANA edition. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Financial controls and audit trail that satisfy group finance. Stock on hand matches the physical count for the first time in years. Multi warehouse transfers are visible and auditable.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. Fast analytics on large datasets through the HANA edition. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

The interface is dense and training is a real line item.

We are still reconciling stock by hand

The local statutory reporting was never delivered as promised. The thing worth knowing is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. Test it hard during the trial with real volume before committing.

What works

The core accounting works.

What does not

Renewal pricing increased well beyond inflation. The implementation ran badly over time and budget. Localisation was incomplete at go live.
