Migration was painful, the result was worth it

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. No user limit, ever. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Unlimited invoices on the free plan. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Reconciliation went from a week to an afternoon

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Clean, uncluttered interface. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

A genuine double entry ledger at no cost. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

Finally a ledger our accountant does not complain about

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. Clean, uncluttered interface. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

No user limit, ever. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised.

What does not

Inventory is too basic for a stock heavy business.

Cheaper than the alternatives, and you find out why

I have spent more time working around this than working in it. For context, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. It has cost us more time than it has saved. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

Setup was quick.

What does not

Support responses were slow and generic. The VAT handling required constant manual correction. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks.

Good ledger, disappointing reporting

It has been fine, with a couple of persistent irritations. No user limit, ever. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Clean, uncluttered interface. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses. There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand.

Does the compliance work without being asked
