Visibility across twelve projects, finally

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Documents, whiteboards and tasks in one product. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

The most capable free tier in the category. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Used for 2 to 5 years

Adoption was harder than expected

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Documents, whiteboards and tasks in one product. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

The most capable free tier in the category. Task management is reliable.

What does not

There is no native time tracking. The learning curve for the advanced features is real.

Used for 6 to 12 months

Client reporting takes minutes now

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. The most capable free tier in the category. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Native time tracking included from the free tier. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Client reporting takes minutes now

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. The most capable free tier in the category. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Documents, whiteboards and tasks in one product. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking.

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

Adoption was harder than expected

Half the team lives in it and half still work from email. The most capable free tier in the category. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Native time tracking included from the free tier. Task management is reliable.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. Performance degrades on a large workspace.

Great tool, we built it badly at first

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. The most capable free tier in the category. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. Setup was quick.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. There is no native time tracking.
