We paid for fifteen seats and used nine

It became a graveyard of half finished boards nobody trusted. The thing worth knowing is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

What works

The free tier is generous.

What does not

We paid for a tier we could not make use of. It was too slow on our connection. Half the team never adopted it.

Client reporting takes minutes now

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. The most capable free tier in the category. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Client reporting takes minutes now

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Visibility across twelve projects, finally

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Great tool, we built it badly at first

Half the team lives in it and half still work from email. Native time tracking included from the free tier. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

The most capable free tier in the category. Task management is reliable.

What does not

There is no native time tracking. Performance degrades on a large workspace.

Simple enough that people actually use it

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. Native time tracking included from the free tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams.

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Great tool, we built it badly at first

Good tool. The pricing bands do not suit a team of our size. Replaces three or four separate dollar subscriptions. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

The most capable free tier in the category. Setup was quick.

What does not

Performance degrades on a large workspace. The learning curve for the advanced features is real.
