Our bookkeeper got two days a month back

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. Invoices that genuinely look professional without design work. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Very low learning curve. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper. Multi currency handling is genuinely correct on unrealised gains.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

What works

What does not

Support response times slow noticeably at month end.

Right features, wrong price for our size

It has been fine, with a couple of persistent irritations. Very low learning curve. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

The smoothest time tracking to invoice workflow available. Invoicing is quick once the templates are set.

What does not

There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand. Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses.

Fine for us, would not recommend for stock heavy businesses

Good enough that changing again is not worth the disruption. Invoices that genuinely look professional without design work. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What does not

The report customisation is limited. Getting a person on the phone is difficult.

Cheaper than the alternatives, and you find out why

We committed to this on a recommendation and I regret not testing it properly first. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

What works

The invoicing side works.

What does not

Migration lost historical detail we needed for the audit. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks. The VAT handling required constant manual correction.
