Right features, wrong price for our size

It does what we need and I have no strong feelings about it either way. Invoices that genuinely look professional without design work. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

The smoothest time tracking to invoice workflow available. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand. Bank feeds drop and need reauthorising more often than they should.

It has been fine, with a couple of persistent irritations. Invoices that genuinely look professional without design work. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

What works

The smoothest time tracking to invoice workflow available. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

Getting a person on the phone is difficult. The report customisation is limited.

Does the compliance work without being asked

I run the books for three related companies and this is the first system that has kept up. Very low learning curve. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Very low learning curve. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work.

What does not

Inventory is too basic for a stock heavy business.

Migrated away after fourteen months

We committed to this on a recommendation and I regret not testing it properly first. Where it earns its keep is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. Test it hard during the trial with real volume before committing.

What works

Setup was quick.

What does not

Support responses were slow and generic. The VAT handling required constant manual correction. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks.
