Migration was painful, the result was worth it

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. The best mobile receipt capture in the category. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Reporting and budgeting well ahead of its price point. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Our bookkeeper got two days a month back

Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. Multi currency from the middle tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Large global template and app ecosystem. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

Works well once you accept its limits

It has been fine, with a couple of persistent irritations. Reporting and budgeting well ahead of its price point. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

The best mobile receipt capture in the category. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand. Getting a person on the phone is difficult.

Support took eleven days to answer a VAT query

The trial went well. Live use with real volume did not. The honest position is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. It has cost us more time than it has saved. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

The invoicing side works.

What does not

Migration lost historical detail we needed for the audit. Support responses were slow and generic. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks.
