Our bookkeeper got two days a month back

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. Large global template and app ecosystem. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

The best mobile receipt capture in the category. VAT201 figures come out right without a manual working paper. Our accountant has their own login at no extra cost.

What does not

Support response times slow noticeably at month end.

Not built for a South African VAT vendor

I have spent more time working around this than working in it. In practice, the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. It may suit a simpler business than ours.

What works

The invoicing side works.

What does not

Support responses were slow and generic. The VAT handling required constant manual correction. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks.

Competent but the support tests your patience

It does what we need and I have no strong feelings about it either way. The best mobile receipt capture in the category. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Reporting and budgeting well ahead of its price point. The mobile app is useful for approving payments.

What does not

Getting a person on the phone is difficult. Inventory cannot handle multiple warehouses.

It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

There is no direct submission to eFiling, so the return is captured by hand. The report customisation is limited.
