Simple enough that people actually use it

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Visibility across twelve projects, finally

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Used for 6 to 12 months

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Adoption was harder than expected

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. Task management is reliable.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. There is no native time tracking.

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Works, but the seat bands hurt at our size

Good tool. The pricing bands do not suit a team of our size. Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. The views are flexible.

What does not

Dollar pricing makes the budget unpredictable. The learning curve for the advanced features is real.
