Client reporting takes minutes now

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

Great tool, we built it badly at first

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. Task management is reliable.

What does not

Performance degrades on a large workspace. Dollar pricing makes the budget unpredictable.

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Visibility across twelve projects, finally

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What does not

Reporting is weaker than the task management.

Simple enough that people actually use it

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. Client facing views mean fewer status emails.
