Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. Everyone can see what is due this week without asking. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Used for 6 to 12 months

Time tracking in the same tool changed our billing

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

Client reporting takes minutes now

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes. Client facing views mean fewer status emails.

Visibility across twelve projects, finally

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

Great tool, we built it badly at first

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. Task management is reliable.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. Performance degrades on a large workspace.

Resource allocation across many concurrent projects. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams.

Reporting is weaker than the task management.
