Works, but the seat bands hurt at our size

Good tool. The pricing bands do not suit a team of our size. Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. Task management is reliable.

What does not

There is no native time tracking. Performance degrades on a large workspace.

We value the honest assessment. The bank feed reliability issue you mention has been addressed in a recent release, and we would encourage you to reconnect the affected accounts.

The whole team adopted it in a fortnight

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. The mobile app is good enough for approvals on the road. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Seat bands mean paying for people who do not exist.

The team asked to keep it after the trial, which has never happened before. An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. Time tracking sits with the tasks, so billing is accurate. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

We paid for fifteen seats and used nine

Performance on our office connection made it a chore. Where it earns its keep is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

What works

The free tier is generous.

What does not

Half the team never adopted it. We paid for a tier we could not make use of. It was too slow on our connection.

Simple enough that people actually use it

Client status reporting used to take a morning a week. Now it takes ten minutes. Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. Client facing views mean fewer status emails. Templates mean a new project is set up in minutes.

What does not

Without governance the number of boards grows out of control.

Fine for tasks, weak for resourcing

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. Setup was quick.

What does not

There is no native time tracking. Dollar pricing makes the budget unpredictable.

Great tool, we built it badly at first

It works, we just had to redo our structure after four months of getting it wrong. Portfolio roll ups that give a programme director one honest view. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Critical path scheduling with dependencies and baselines. Setup was quick.

What does not

The learning curve for the advanced features is real. Dollar pricing makes the budget unpredictable.

Simple enough that people actually use it

We rolled it out to twenty two people and adoption was close to complete within a month. An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

An Excel like formula language spreadsheet users already know. Automation handles the routine handoffs between teams. Client facing views mean fewer status emails.

Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.
