Powerful, and it demands a specialist

It does everything we asked for and none of it was quick. Lot traceability from raw material to finished goods. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. I would shortlist it, not necessarily pick it.

What works

Mature material requirements planning. The financials module is solid.

What does not

Version upgrades are projects rather than updates. The local statutory reporting depends entirely on the partner.

Thank you for the review. We are glad the compliance side is working well for you. On the reporting point, we would like to show you what is possible with the custom report builder, so please book a session with our team.

Go live was on time and under budget

Two years post go live and I would make the same decision. Lot traceability from raw material to finished goods. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

Landed cost handling that covers the full import chain. Traceability from raw material to finished goods is complete. Consolidation across our companies takes days rather than weeks.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

The partner made the difference, not the software

Two years post go live and I would make the same decision. Mature material requirements planning. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Lot traceability from raw material to finished goods. Landed cost calculations are accurate including duty and clearing. Stock on hand matches the physical count for the first time in years.

What does not

Implementation cost more than the licence, as expected but still painful.

We are still reconciling stock by hand

The local statutory reporting was never delivered as promised. The thing worth knowing is that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

The core accounting works.

What does not

The implementation ran badly over time and budget. We are still running parallel spreadsheets. Localisation was incomplete at go live.

Landed cost is finally accurate

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. South African founded, with local consultants and support. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

Mature material requirements planning. Landed cost calculations are accurate including duty and clearing. Multi warehouse transfers are visible and auditable.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

Powerful, and it demands a specialist

The software is capable. Our implementation was mediocre and we are still paying for that. Landed cost handling that covers the full import chain. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. It is a reasonable choice, provided you know what it does not do.

What works

Landed cost handling that covers the full import chain. The financials module is solid.

What does not

Reporting requires a specialist to build. Version upgrades are projects rather than updates.

Good system, and you must budget for the support relationship indefinitely.

The partner network means help is available.

What does not

Remote access needs a hosted desktop. The local statutory reporting depends entirely on the partner.

Good core, dated interface

Good system, and you must budget for the support relationship indefinitely. Landed cost handling that covers the full import chain. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Fine for our needs. Test it properly against your own requirements.

What works

Mature material requirements planning. Reporting is capable once configured.

What does not

Version upgrades are projects rather than updates. Reporting requires a specialist to build.
