Stock and the ledger finally agree

The implementation partner was excellent, which I think matters more than the badge. Landed cost handling that covers the full import chain. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. I would recommend it to a business of our size without hesitation.

What works

South African founded, with local consultants and support. Stock on hand matches the physical count for the first time in years. Landed cost calculations are accurate including duty and clearing.

What does not

The interface is dense and training is a real line item.

We run four warehouses and two companies on this and the consolidation works. Mature material requirements planning. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. There are irritations, and none of them are the kind that make you look elsewhere. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

Landed cost handling that covers the full import chain. Traceability from raw material to finished goods is complete. Branch reporting comes out without a spreadsheet in between.

What does not

Configuration changes need the partner rather than an internal administrator.

The partner made the difference, not the software

Two years post go live and I would make the same decision. Lot traceability from raw material to finished goods. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. If you are weighing it up, do the trial with your own data and you will see it.

What works

Good core, dated interface

Good system, and you must budget for the support relationship indefinitely. Mature material requirements planning. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

Implementation ran eleven months over

The local statutory reporting was never delivered as promised. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. We moved to an alternative and the difference was immediate.

What works

The core accounting works.

What does not

The implementation ran badly over time and budget. Renewal pricing increased well beyond inflation. Localisation was incomplete at go live.
