Bank feeds alone justify the subscription

We moved across from a desktop package eighteen months ago and I would not go back. A workflow engine competitors do not offer at any tier. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. It is not perfect, and it is the right choice for us.

What works

A workflow engine competitors do not offer at any tier. Month end close has dropped from six days to two. Invoices go out looking professional with no design work.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. The most functionality per rand in the category by a wide margin. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

Competent but the support tests your patience

Good enough that changing again is not worth the disruption. A workflow engine competitors do not offer at any tier. Beyond that it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests. It sits squarely in the middle for us, useful but not something I would champion. Good value, with some real rough edges.

Migrated away after fourteen months

We committed to this on a recommendation and I regret not testing it properly first. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. The gaps are the kind that create work rather than save it. I would look elsewhere unless price is the only consideration.

What works

Setup was quick.

What does not

Migration lost historical detail we needed for the audit. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks. Support responses were slow and generic.
