VAT season stopped being a crisis

Our practice put four clients on this before we moved our own business across. The best bank reconciliation experience in the category. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Two years in and nobody has suggested we look at alternatives.

What works

Unlimited users on every plan, which no local competitor matches. Multi currency handling is genuinely correct on unrealised gains. Bank feeds match transactions accurately and the rules learn quickly.

What does not

The interface has not aged well.

Finally a ledger our accountant does not complain about

After two years I can say the reconciliation time saving is real and it is significant. The best bank reconciliation experience in the category. That is the part that genuinely changed how we work. Nothing has come up in the last year that I would call a real problem. Worth the migration effort, which is not something I say often.

What works

The best bank reconciliation experience in the category. Month end close has dropped from six days to two. The audit trail has answered every query our auditors raised.

What does not

Support response times slow noticeably at month end.

What does not

Reporting beyond the standard pack still ends up in a spreadsheet.

Migrated away after fourteen months

The trial went well. Live use with real volume did not. What surprised me was that the parts we were sold on never worked the way they were demonstrated. It has cost us more time than it has saved. It may suit a simpler business than ours.

Setup was quick.

What does not

Migration lost historical detail we needed for the audit. The VAT handling required constant manual correction. Bank feed failures went unresolved for weeks.
